The 2004 TAGB British Championships were held in the Skydome Arena Coventry in November.
Clare, Jackie, Carl, Gary, Paul P, and Paul I from Northampton South competed in the sparring competitions. Unfortunately, it was a busy day and we were only able to get photos of Carl and Paul I.
Carl (pictured below facing camera in first 2 photos and back to the camera in second 2 photos) from Northampton South, took part in the executive men's yellow belt point stop sparring:
 
 
Paul I (pictured below with the white hand and foot pads) from Northampton South, took part in the men's green belt point stop sparring:
 
 
Both Paul P and Paul I won bronze in their categories (men's welterweight yellow belt sparring and men's welterweight green belt sparring respectively).
The Skydome arena is an ice-hockey stadium first and foremost. When the ice is covered with flooring, the place is ideal for a tournament, with space for 15 competition areas arranged in a 5 wide 3 deep grid, encircled by raised spectators seats.
 
The pictures above were taken towards the end of a TAGB tournament day back in 2004 - when it was less busy! These tournaments really give you an idea of the sheer numbers and quality of the TAGB community.
