The 2005 TAGB English Championships took place in the Coventry Skydome arena in March.
Adrian (pictured below facing the camera) from Northampton South, took part in the men's yellow belt point stop sparring:
 
 
Paul (pictured below facing the camera) from Northampton South, took part in the men's green belt point stop sparring:
 
 
Despite good performances on the day, Adrian and Paul didn't make it past the first round, but they both had fun and enjoyed the experience of competing at a country-wide level.
The Skydome arena is an ice-hockey stadium first and foremost. When the ice is covered with flooring, the place is ideal for a tournament, with space for 15 competition areas arranged in a 5 wide 3 deep grid, encircled by raised spectators seats.
 
The pictures above were taken towards the end of a TAGB tournament day back in 2004 - when it was less busy! These tournaments really give you an idea of the sheer numbers and quality of the TAGB community.
